I've walked by this tiny shop hundreds of times, but never noticed it. I finally got tired of adding pieces of jewelry to my "get fixed" pile and took the initiative. He fixed 3/5 on the spot and asked for $2. Two more difficult pieces--one from Tiffany's and one of my grandmother's gold/diamond necklaces--he took and is calling me with an estimate tomorrow. This guy really wants to help, is incredibly courteous and more than fair.
This place actually has more than watches but this review is just for the watch fixing they did for me - it wasn't cheap but they do the work on hand and I had given my watch a pretty good smashing so...it was probably my fault for that. But the watch seriously works better now than it did prior to being smashed (fell off and landed smack on the subway platform). The guy there is nice but I'll say "new york city nice" - don't expect them to act like a broker salivating over a 6 figure commission. I see this as a positive in some respects - feels more 'real' and they clearly know their stuff. Plus supporting local businesses is a great thing in the village.

Gene Davidov Jewelry Design Review
Exclusive Fine Jewelry Collection by Gene Davidov. Custom design and manufacturing services, Sertified Diamonds and Gems from all over the world. All repairs and your old gold recycling. All work guaranteed for life.
The founder, Gene Davidov was born in St. Petersburg, Russia. After graduating from a specialized art school he immigrated to America where he got a Bachelors in Fine Arts from Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 1985. That same year he started designing fine jewelry with an incredibly independent design sensibility. At the onset of his creative career Gene insisted that each and every piece be handmade developing a unique sculptural quality to his designs.
Now with over 20 years experience he has honed his techniques to a perfect art. Many pieces are hand cast from original wax sculptures. And the open-link chains he uses in his earrings and necklaces are formed and soldered by hand. He intentionally avoids the influences of the modern world. Instead he allows the gemstones and pearls to initiate the design process. A hard-worker whom above all else values the integrity of the stones and metals he utilizes.

Stuart Moore Ltd Review
My husband an I went to a lot of jewelry stores looking for just the right place to get our wedding rings when we got engaged. Stuart Moore was the end of our search. I didn't want a diamond and this was the first store we went to where they didn't try to convince me that I did. They just went right to work trying to help me select exactly the right ring for me.
This was 4 years ago and Daniel Sanchez helped us pick rings and select stones (I wanted light-colored sapphires and he got them for us.) Daniel is still there and remembers our names each time we go in the shop to get our rings cleaned and polished. I've referred 3 friends to Stuart Moore and all have been thrilled with their rings and the extraordinary service.

Tiffany & Co Review
Excellent. Between the staff, the beautiful layout, the service, and the CALM as opposed to 5th Ave - it is a pleasure. Top notch professionalism (well, what else would you expect). A joy to spend time there. If you're looking for something and you actually want to be taken care of, go here vs midtown. Especially during holiday season...
Came here to impress a friend and get a birthday gift. What can I say, Its Tiffany's, the place is gorgeous! Its located in beautiful historic cobble stone paved Wall street. I was treated nicely, beautiful array of jewelry displayed. Lots of choices, well lit and decorated. I always order online first and come pick up in the store. Their Jewelry brings great results.
Really about the best shopping experience I've had buying jewelry. I don't buy Jewelry often but I thought their marketing was smart, because it worked on me. Take a picture of a really really small heart, put it on the website, blow the picture up so it looks big and the customer goes 'Hey, that's not too expensive, let me go get that.'. You don't consider how small it was because its so big on the screen and you don't have a picture of the chain to get proportion. You arrive at store and its TINY! But then the one next to it, about double the size (normal size) and 4x the price.

Vitraux by Alejandra Review
Alejandra is one of my favorite jewelry designers. I first picked up one of her pieces at Calypso Soho about 10 years ago. I got another about a year later. The two necklaces I have are made of Swarovski crystal and one has turquoise in a diamond woven pattern. They are really unique and I get compliments on them every single time I wear either of them.
She also completely stands by the quality of her work. One of my necklaces got a little worn and one of the interior threads broke. I mailed it back to the store and they fixed it and mailed it back within 2 weeks all free of charge.
I have had my pieces for 10+ years now and they are still gorgeous, timeless and in excellent condition. I always stop by the shop when I am in NYC. They usually have some pretty good stuff on sale also.
